Doesn't fit - made of hard plastic

They don't fit that well, even on the KYB racks I bought. They are hard plastic, not rubber like the original parts that came with the car. Being stiff, they don't seal the holes well and expose the underside of the stock when the suspension is up (e.g. over bumps). I ended up returning them and reusing the worn out originals as they still seal better than those clumsy hard plastic lids. That's pretty low compared to other KYB products I've purchased in the past.

Pros
  • Comfortable
Cons
  • Exchangeable

These boots will not fit KYB A-Pillars 341366/341367. The catalog says they are, but they aren't. I made them fit by reshaping the upper part of the boot and attaching it with silicone glue. Very unprofessional, but it works. The change added nearly 1.5 hours to the installation of swap bodies. Otherwise the boots are well made, but not for a May car. My tip: find the right strut boot for your application.

Pros
  • Heavy Duty Finish
Cons
  • Frequency

Not for 2006 Outback when using KYB rear stays (341443 Excel G-Shock)

Fits Revain OEM Excel G-Shock/strut replacement. I ended up having to use my old boots to finish the job and send them back to Revain who refunded me minus shipping! Attached is a picture of a correct original factory strut showing the correct top boot configuration. I only gave it one star because according to Revains Parts Software it doesn't fit my car and not because of any quality issues.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Lightly dented

Not suitable for 2008 Honda Civic LX

Taaaaaaaaaa. I should have read the reviews before purchasing. I bought these along with the KYB shocks that I bought here at Revain for my 2008 Honda Civic LX. According to the Revain workshop it should fit my car. My mechanic couldn't fit it in my car and I saw it when he tried to install it. I can't comment on the quality of this item as I have never had to use it but be careful with the buyer as you may be better off going to a dealership or having your mechanic get the part for you. My…

Will not fit 1st gen Outback, cheap flimsy plastic

From kyb online catalog sb101 was chosen for my '98 Subaru Legacy Outback. However, the included foam bumper was too thick (tall) to fit enough strut shaft into the top mount. I sawed off about 1 inch with a hacksaw so I could slide the bumper past the narrower top of the stem so the threads protruded over the bracket and allowed the stem to bolt on. Second, the bellows are very thin cheap hard plastic, not the original rubber. I used the SB101 in the first place because the original trunk no…

KYB Quality in Replacement Parts

This "KYB SB101 Boot and Fender Kit" comes with (1) Plastic Dust Cover and (1) Polypropylene Bumper. The dust cover flexes well and the bumper fits snugly against it. I have used KYB struts and shocks as replacements for my personal vehicles for many years and have always been impressed with their handling and durability. I can only recommend it.Advice. To assemble the fender and trunk, hold the fender with one hand with the flat side pressed against your palm, push the fender (the side with…
