Optimize Suspension Performance with KYB SB129 Strut Boot Review

Bought two strut boots to install the KYB Excel Gas Strut Kit (335032 & 335033), the hole at the end of the boot in the bumper was too small to fit the strut so had the hole needs to be reamed larger to fit the stand. Why KYB would sell a shoe that doesn't fit their own attitude is beyond me. Not sure how durable this item will be as it is plastic (OEM's safety shoe was thick rubber).

I purchased this product with matching KYB racks - 335031 and 335030. My mechanic told me during installation that they were not compatible and did not install them. One was taken out of the box and was dirty - the other is still in the box - but I don't think I can return it. I'm sure it's a "good" product, but in this case it's a failure.

It was mounted on a 2001 Qx4 rack. rack body. The fender is designed to protect the car and strut from damage in the event of a "failure" which can occur if your strut bursts (i.e. there is a leak or something inside the strut breaks). and can no longer cushion your car) or you drive over a horrible bump or hole.
