OEM A-Pillar Guard

Fits the A-pillars on my 2011 Civic Si. My old ones were practically destroyed. When it came time to swap out my racks, I added this upon installation and was pleased.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Minor issues

Great replacement

The rubber insulation usually wears out first, even with a high quality rack mount. I bought a pair of these to replace the broken ones on a 2006 Honda Civic coupe. The stock part had a small addition to the seat (on the flange side of the part) to attach the isolator to the coil spring, but this part also works great . . You won't even see the difference if you don't know what to look for. I would say the fit of the KYB SM5760 is close to perfect. I will buy again if necessary.

Pros
  • Slim design
Cons
  • Some cons

Not exactly the same as the original

The design is not exactly the same as the original, therefore the spring does not sit flush like the original. The spring is not flat on the end, so only part of the spring end rests against the insulator. This creates a slight uneven tension in the rod mount, causing the spring and agitator mount to burst when rotated. There should be a small rubber wedge that conforms to the contour of the spring so that the load on the underside of the strut support is evenly distributed across the underside

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Fits
