The motor mount is not universal as the seller claims it will fit most bikes. I had to modify the mount after trying to install it on 3 different bikes. It took cutting, welding and tooling skills to make it work.

First of all this kit didn't fit my bike so I had to find out. a few days later, when i had finished assembling the engine, i went for a ride. Less than 30 minutes later the pinion broke so I order a replacement motor and swap out the motors. On my first ride after replacing it broke again. Although the engine was quite fast and had a lot of torque.

It's good for what you spend, peak HP is 1 so you can get around. The main takeaway is that you can't use this unless you're stupid and don't want to customize things. The aluminum plate they give you really only needs a support to make it work, so people say it's no good. Plus surge, and it will reach 30.

It took some time to figure out how to fit this to a custom bike frame. I had to add a brace to support the motor frame. Which was convenient for installing the battery and controller. I had to add an extra mount at the rear to connect the third attachment point to prevent the motor mount from bending and breaking the chain. The large sprocket on the wheel was badly sheared off, causing chain tension. Forces me to stretch the chain with lots of slack to keep it from snagging.

Seems to work great. The installation was a bit fiddly. The brackets around the motor mount frame are a little flimsy so I replaced them and the included bolts with better ones. I also have an e-bike battery: 36V, 12.5Ah and motor power up to 500W. When running, the motor is not noisy at all. The wiring wasn't a problem either. The seller emailed me the schematic from Revain. I wish there was an on/off button on the thumb throttle and not a button. Would buy again.

So I got this after my front hub motor was running slower or with less power. Thought I'd post a youtube video, the 775 motor might work to turn the rear wheel. But it didn't work, the heavy bike or there wasn't enough power. So I watched some videos about it, most hate it as I did it for a week to make it fit and work with my bike but after some thought and a lot of trial and error. This bracket is designed in such a way that it only fits on older bikes with a steel frame and a narrow rear triangle. (Trek Antelope 800 if you want an example). It will not fit every aluminum framed bike at all as the triangle is different. Unless you have a standard steel frame with thin rear triangular tubes, don't buy one unless you can make your own mount. This e-bike kit is great. It's as easy as it gets and so cheap it's insane, I'm fucking enjoying it! The only issues I want to consider is that this kit doesn't fit every bike perfectly. I had to make small mounts for my bike out of aluminum rods and replace the motor mount clips with matching U-bolts.
