Description of Labstep
Labstep is the go-to research tool for scientists. Founded on the shortcomings of pen and paper and existing lab softwares, Labstep takes away the messy, manual and time-consuming aspects of note-taking and data governance. Focussing on ease of use, the platform allows users to manage their electronic notebook, inventory, order requests and instruments in one, connected environment.
Labstep’s mission is to bring computer-aided ease to all scientists. That’s why the platform is kept completely free for academics. Labstep is also available for companies and institutions looking to unify and standardise their data collection in a secure manner, or seeking IP protection and compliance.
Since launching, the platform has been adopted by researchers at over 900 universities around the world, including Cambridge, Harvard and MIT, and various life science and biotech companies. Rapid adoption has also resulted in multiple institute-wide deployments, including the Francis Crick Institute in London.
