The stand is solid, well made and has a smooth finish. It is lightly coated with shellac and will not stick to clothing or upholstery. Every detail tightens nicely and the frame holds my linen canvas securely. I wrapped the bottom hoop the same way I would wrap any bottom hoop and I'm very happy with my results. If you are looking for a seat frame for embossing, gold embroidery or other embroidery, this is a good choice. 😛

This machine relieves my arm pain and allows me to cross stitch longer. I'm sitting on a chair and embroidering! The only problem is that the small grommets holding the loom to the 'hinge' broke off within the first few hours of use, causing the loom to wobble and possibly break. I'm hoping to find a better way to connect the loom to the metal loop which would earn it 5 stars for me.

This is a great idea, but very poorly implemented. The Lacis Sit-On Round Embroidery Lap Frame was fine for the first few uses, but after that it started falling apart. The base no longer holds in place because it cannot be properly tightened, the screw hole is too large, and the design is poor. There had to be some way to tighten this base properly, maybe just a nut on a bolt. The knob that adjusts the height of the tire is no better, doesn't tighten properly.
