So-so magnet on holders

Was looking for a phone holder that would fit in the Chevy Bolt dash vents and it fit the bill. The clip area is wider for a more secure fit. But the reason for the 3 stars is that the magnet is only medium strength so with heavy phones or tablets it will slip off bumps in the road.

Hands-free accessory

I like the fact that it can be attached to the air vent but needs to be closer to the top of the air vent so it doesn't fall off. I like the magnetic aspect so it's easy to turn the phone on. The magnetic closure is excellent, it doesn't come loose or get lost while riding.

Everything is fine so far, but you still have to live with it a bit

I like the size and simplicity. I wish the magnet was a little stronger or the metal plate on the back of the phone was a little bigger. It's hard to tell if the magnetic base completely covers the metal plate. I have a case that covers the back and I installed a metal plate between the back of the phone and the case. The outside of the case has a bit of texture and I didn't think the record would hold up well. So far, it has never fallen down while driving on a bumpy road. The time will show.

Great for 2014 Cadillac CTS.

Probably the only phone holder compatible with the 2014 Cadillac CTS. With the narrow and deep air vents on this car, the other holders either can't hook into the deep air vent or have other parts that just get in the way. The magnet is very strong and holds my cell phone on various off-road trips. The only problem is that the metal plate attached to the phone can get hot when charging the phone with an inductive charger (depending on the size of the phone and the position of the plate), so…
