Good but rubbish Electrode

Bought this gauge as part of a brew water test kit. There was a good meter, but after several uses, the electrode deteriorated. I kept it wet in a 4.0 solution and followed the directions. The electrode itself costs $60+. I'm going to buy a cheap counter from Revain.

I have been using this pH tester almost daily for 8 months now. Although the instructions say to calibrate before each use, I only calibrate a few times a month as I see no difference in accuracy compared to calibrating before each use every few uses. I've never had a problem. Calibration is easy. The gauge seems very accurate. It's durable and seems to last quite a while. I rinse the electrode with distilled water after each use and replace the cap with a sponge dampened with a pH 4 aqueous…

Pros
  • Turns on automatic temperature compensation and displays temperature showing pH result

  • Very expensive

We called Lamtte and they were very helpful. They sent a new module because when we first turned it on, its light indicated when it needed to be recalibrated and blinked to update. after the new module **((front sensor PH replacement)) we had some problems with the accuracy so they sent a new PH handle.
