Review on Enhanced Accuracy πŸ”¬ and High-resolution: LaMotte 1741 PockeTester by Ian Bates

Revainrating 5 out of 5

3 years from two weeks to daily use and still working

I have been using this pH tester almost daily for 8 months now. Although the instructions say to calibrate before each use, I only calibrate a few times a month as I see no difference in accuracy compared to calibrating before each use every few uses. I've never had a problem. Calibration is easy. The gauge seems very accurate. It's durable and seems to last quite a while. I rinse the electrode with distilled water after each use and replace the cap with a sponge dampened with a pH 4 aqueous solution. Always hold the meter upright as instructed. Always follow these 2 steps to prevent the electrode from drying out and having to be replaced. If you need a pH meter for a salt water solution, this seems to be one of the best out there right now. Many float therapy centers have been using it for several years. I recommend it to all future swimming centers. EDIT 5/9/2019: It's been about 3 years. It still works great. I calibrate every 3 months and no problems.

Pros
  • Turns on automatic temperature compensation and displays temperature showing pH result
Cons
  • Very expensive
