Very nice and useful

We live in the country and when our electricity goes out during a storm we still use it. You are beautiful and you can be romantic with your woman. Turn down the music while the fireplace is burning. "Oh what a night!" Joe on a farm in Texas

  • Done

Good replacement - oil lamps

Like other people here I was nervous about whether the old oil lamp would fit. And so it was. I now believe that such details are, for the most part, standard. Of course there can be exceptions, but mostly standard. The product itself makes a well-made impression. I installed mine by removing the old rusty part that was becoming dangerous. It fitted perfectly and now I have a working oil lamp. So I can recommend that.

Pros
  • Quick replacement
Cons
  • Can't really complain about that, everything is fine

Flashlight tips

I have three lamps, I bought two of them, had to swap parts to fit them. This means they are not standard or required for what is listed! I'd say they're ok as I've gotten them to work with old parts etc but I've used them. These butt caps are meant to be standard fittings and manufacturers shouldn't make parts hard to come by and yes I used them during a March 13, 2020 tornado in Donelson, TN near Nashville! Hard times and I still use pure paraffin oil for lamps plus cheap LED lights. Lighting

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Attenuation

You have to fix it and everything will be fine.

Had to stick crazy on the oil The lamp base adhesive breaks easily to put more oil on the base but you have to re-stick it. I'm disappointed that the wheel you turn to adjust the wick doesn't hold the wick because when I light it the flame goes out and is so low that the wheel turns counter clockwise it goes out. I have to take it off to look at it today but when I put it on the glass shade was straight. I was glad I didn't have to deal with it. The appearance of the item is beautiful, although

Thin thread to internal thread of antique lamp

High quality brass finish. It looks like it's actually brass plated and not just brass plated. After removing the outer threaded ring, the inner thin filament fitted my 150 year old Hurricane lamp base perfectly. I'm having trouble finding the right topics. The burners of some other lamps had the same diameter but not the threads required for my lamp. The mechanism works smoothly to raise or lower the wick. The wick itself is long enough to last a while, but not as long as I recall from yearsโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Vulgarity

Terrible. Not even worth my time to go back.

I only needed one so I figured if one broke I could use the other. I just received them today. Both units were destroyed. Totally DOA. Won't screw into my base, won't pull the wick out, a real nightmare. Luckily I have a very high quality silver solder. I had to disassemble one of the lamps and take out a part and then solder the lamp back on. The wick adjustment is absolutely blunt and barely catches the wick, but below where it would actually be if it were working. 1 star because I wouldโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Brilliantly made
Cons
  • Too stupid
