Description of Laowa 65mm f/2.8 2x Ultra Macro APO Fujifilm X lens, black
The macro lens shoots at a maximum magnification of 2:1. It is designed specifically for the Sony E mirrorless camera. Optically, it consists of 14 elements arranged in 10 groups. Of these, three elements are with extra-low dispersion, which has the maximum magnification factor at the minimum focusing distance. Equipped with an internal focusing design, you can shoot insects or small animals at close range. AppearanceThe Laowa 65mm f/2.8 2x device is presented in a metal case. It pleases with its compact size and light weight, making it suitable for location shooting. The case does not have protection against moisture or dust, so the photographer needs to take this feature into account when working in difficult conditions.
Manual lens control. You will not be able to use auto focus stacking in the camera (if this option is built into the camera). But the photographer can combine a series of photos when processed in a photo editor. On the front is a thread used for filters. Its dimensions are universal - 52 mm. Macro flashes can be used without special rings.
Features Laova 65mm f/2.8 2x Ultra Macro APOApochromatic lens has a special optical design, which has three low dispersion lenses. The developers managed to remove all chromatic aberrations, even longitudinal ones that cannot be removed using the program. Geometric distortion is zero. It is completely absent under any shooting conditions. Vignetting is imperceptible - less than one stop.
Another advantage of the device is a 2:1 magnification. This is twice as much as standard models offer. The focusing ring is presented with a long stroke - up to 220 degrees. The movement of the lens is performed inside the structure. Even at maximum magnification, the front elements do not extend. This is important for multi-frame shooting.
The lens is great for shooting general scenes. The focusing ring has an enlarged travel sector, rotating between infinity and 1 m. The aperture setting element rotates with characteristic cutoffs. Photo quality and bokehThe device pleases with maximum accuracy and sharpness even at a fully open aperture. If you focus on infinity, there is a minimal drop in sharpness at the edges of the frame. But for a model from this series, this feature is considered normal. When shooting at all working distances, you can use any aperture value, taking into account the available lighting and the required depth of field.
The nine-bladed aperture guarantees beautiful rounded reflections from various light sources. Bokeh is smooth and precise. At f/8, the highlights become noticeably angular, but are clearly displayed. There are no chromatic aberrations or other distortions. There is no contouring in the blur area.
