Perfect size for rounding up bantam chickens

This is the perfect net for what we needed it for! In our flock of 5 chickens, we have two new bantams (miniature) hens, one of which does not like to come in for the night. After double-teaming her, chasing her all around the chicken pen, with her getting more and more scared and freaked out, it finally dawned on me that a net could help the situation. I first tried our pool net, which worked well, but the shape wasn’t ideal. After reading a ton of reviews of nets, I chose this one, and it’s…

Pros
  • The net is perfect for backyard birdwatchers who want to catch insects for their feathered friends
Cons
  • The handle is too thick, making it difficult to hold for individuals with small hands

Poor quality netting

The netting is very poor quality and right away started to unravel, with lots of loose threads that make it quite impractical

Pros
  • The handle of the net is easy to adjust for left-handed or right-handed use
Cons
  • The netting material is not breathable, causing it to become hot and sweaty during use

Excellent value - my new review

As background, I've done professional butterfly surveys as a wildlife biologist. The nets we used were super durable for 8 hrs a day heavy use. These nets are not that durable, but much more convenient to use for casual use. I would recommend these for any use except hard-core entomological survey work. I bought a second one.

Pros
  • The net is easy to clean and maintain
Cons
  • The netting material is too coarse, making it difficult to catch small insects

This Net Folds Nicely!

I finally got a chance to use my new butterfly net this weekend. It worked very well, and one thing I liked really well was how well it folds up. The pole telescopes, and closes down to about 16". The net comes off the pole, and folds to approximately 12" X 7". This allows the complete system to fit in a small pack along with specimen jars (for easier identification, I release after I catch), and my field guide. Some customers complained about loose strings., which I did notice at the beginning…

Pros
  • The large size of the net makes it easy to catch even the fastest insects
Cons
  • The net is not portable, making it difficult to take on nature walks

A high quality tool for young practical entomologists

The insect net is well constructed and very easy the assemble. My ten years old did it without difficulty. The handle is the longest that I could find on Ebay. Both handle and ring are made of light-weight and durable materials perfect for long time outdoor insect collecting activities. The nylon net itself is light, soft, with a wide opening of 16" ring size, especially suitable for catching fragile flying insects, such as butterflies, moths, and dragonflies, while minimizing the risk of…

Pros
  • The net is perfect for catching butterflies, which can be hard to catch without a special net
Cons
  • The handle is not ergonomically designed, causing discomfort during use

Superior net / better then expected!

Super saver for my seasonal bee issues! This net was strong, sturdy and very well made, for a great price. It was such a savior while dealing with my seasonal bug /bee relief and relocation process. Have purchased other nets but nothing as well made and sturdy as this one.Very happy with my purchase!

Pros
  • The carrying bag also protects the net from damage during storage
Cons
  • The netting material is not strong enough to catch heavier insects like crickets

Exactly what I needed!

I use it to catch Cicada Killers in my yard. I'm always barefoot, and the first one I ever saw was in my garden. It had a dead cicada, and was going to go in a hole it dug out. It was huge! I grabbed an empty plastic jar, and put it over them. Then looked it up in my insect book.I've caught over 150 with a jar, and have never been stung. I bought the net to catch them while they were flying around the yard. It works very well.

Pros
  • The net can be used for scientific experiments, such as collecting data on the behavior of certain insects
Cons
  • The netting material is not heat-resistant, causing it to warp in high temperatures

For the manufacturer only! I use the item to catch my birds ! Otherwize! everything is great! The material of the net and the handle is perfect except for the size of the netting itself A size comperison needs to be checked !before sale, I was able to enlarge the net size to fit the hoop size.jp

Pros
  • The handle is textured for a better grip, even when wet
Cons
  • The netting material is not transparent, making it difficult to see what you have caught

Works as expected best in my review

I like the simplicity and portability of this net. Once you learn the technique, it is easy to catch and release butterflies.

Pros
  • The net is perfect for capturing and releasing insects without causing harm or distress
Cons
  • The netting material is too porous, allowing insects to escape while catching them

Awesome and recommendable

I was so surprise and did not know that this is so big. I thought it's the right one for my birdcage but I do not regret because I may use it someday. I like the material, the way how it's made and perfect for catching anything. The precision of how it's made it's very sturdy, strong to handle and it extended as well. I recommend this product to anyone would like or looking for a product like this. It's perfectly fine. 5star.

Pros
  • The net can be used by amateur or professional entomologists
Cons
  • The netting material is not soft enough, making it difficult to avoid damaging fragile insects

Works for catching chickens

It is somewhat flimsy and the net will probably tear soon but it is big enough and working for catching chickens for time being.

Pros
  • works great
Cons
  • The netting material is not fine enough for catching small insects

Great Value on my review.

This butterfly net is a sturdy product boasting a higher quality than expected at this price point. The netting is a bit fragile but perfect for catching insects as delicate as butterflies and moths. Professional entomology nets can run you a couple hundred bucks. This does the same thing at a much lower price.

Pros
  • Bug catching net telescopic handle extends from 17" to 36", Perfect for adults.
Cons
  • The net is too heavy, making it difficult to maneuver

Not real sturdy for my opinion

Lightweight and not real sturdy but good value for the price and it is made for lightweight butterflies.Use this to catch Cain toads in the yard.**Edited review and added a star - it is meant to be lightweight for butterflies. Did not mean to make it sound cheap.

Pros
  • The net can be used for catching other small creatures, such as tadpoles or plankton
Cons
  • The netting material is not odor-free, making it unpleasant to use

Nice deep net for my opinion

Really like this net, think it will work perfect for catching bats & mice that get into the living space of the house occasionally. Like the nylon material around the top of the net, wish the quality of the netting itself were more heavy duty. Like the telescoping handle.

Pros
  • The net can be used for photography purposes, allowing for up-close shots of insects
Cons
  • The net is not suitable for catching flying ants

Great for catching parakeets

This item is great for catching birds as they fly around your house especially parakeets because all of my parakeets are free range and sometimes they don’t want to go to bed at night. And my cleaning lady is terrified of birds so this works perfectly to make sure they go to bed at night.

Pros
  • Toys & Games
Cons
  • The netting material easily tears, rendering it unusable

Large Long Net and Adjustable Height Handles.

The item was useable. I use it to remove insects that may have come into the house like flies, moths, beetles, or other relatively manageable insects. Sometimes certain fruit flies come in but they slip through the net. It'd be nice if the mesh of the net wa smaller because they then wouldn't be able to crawl out.

Pros
  • The net is great for collecting insects for display in a bug box or terrarium
Cons
  • The handle is not textured, causing it to slip out of your hands easily

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Quality at a great price.

This is a great net for safe use to capture butterflies, etc. I actually bought it for use to rescue critters on our farm when needed. The net is a good size and it is the perfect length for cost with investing more for those with extenders.

Pros
  • The net is compact and easy to store in a variety of locations, including backpacks and tool sheds
Cons
  • The handle is not insulated, making it uncomfortable to hold in cold weather

Exactly What I Needed for a Bat Problem

Lately, I've had a few bats take up residence in my house. My previous bat eradication tool (tennis racket) was lethal and not always adequate for the job. With the RESTCLOUD Butterfly net, I can live capture the bats when they are airborne or when they are perched on the wall or ceiling. I can then transport them away from the house and release them back into the environment.

Pros
  • The net can be used in both indoor and outdoor settings
Cons
  • The net is too bulky, making it difficult to store

Great gift! - my new review

Our bug-loving teenage son was ecstatic about this net and has brought many more creatures into to our home to study since we have had it. The telescoping handle means we could tuck it away into the bottom of the stroller when walking or he could fit it into his backpack when biking. Lightweight!

Pros
  • The net allows for easy observation of insects without harming them
Cons
  • The net is not suitable for catching bees or wasps
