🔒 Commercial Privacy Indicator Lock - Grade 2, Large Size Review

When I received the product it's really poor quality and the lever doesn't unlock from the inside when you try to pull the lever down

It never shows if it's actually busy or free. Watch faces are never displayed in solid colors. See image. Also, no matter how much you adjust, the levers are never parallel. Occurs on all three purchased.

This lock would be great if the busy display didn't stick there. Each time you open the door, the occupancy dial rotates slightly. After about 4 turns of the handle, the word "occupied" appears and the door is locked. I get calls from tenants about once a week.

We tried them for two bathrooms in a public library. They broke within the first month. Our goalie "fixed" them as best he could, but after that they never worked properly. We finally installed the original door handles. I would not recommend them.

The unit arrived and I was impressed with its weight and looks. Installation was a little more difficult than expected as it's not a simple block with screws. After the installation it worked great. After about 6 months the latch and spring literally jumped out and the doorknob became unusable. Warranty date expired so no luck I guess. Next time I will spend more for a stronger block.
