Safety and Convenience

These blocks are great. I'm a novice woodworker. Before I bought my DeWalt 744X I had never used a table saw. Although I have lots of experience with a circular saw in DIY home improvement applications, the table saw is a different beast and, especially the first few times I used a table saw, I had about the comfort level as if that beast was a pissed off German Shepard on a chain, barking its head off. These push blocks allow me more control over the wood I'm cutting. With downward pressure…

Pros
  • Power & Hand Tools
Cons
  • The push block is not well balanced and can cause the operator to lose control

It's a push block: my feedback

It's a push block. It lets you hold down stuff and safely push it through your router. This one does that, so, five stars. : )

Pros
  • works great!
Cons
  • The grip is not very ergonomic and can cause hand fatigue

Push block on my review.

There obviously is no substitute for saving fingers and such. The offset handle is a nice feature and the pad is a great gripper for sure. You deserve these. Get um.

Pros
  • Table Saw Accessories
Cons
  • The push block does not work well for precision cuts and can lead to inaccurate results

Good Product on my review.

These push blocks are great. I previously had a pair that came with a Sears Jointer I bought about 25 years ago. I gave those to my son-in-law along with the jointer. My new jointer didn't come with push blocks, so I ordered these. They're much better than the ones I had before because of the angled handles. These result in pushing the wood forward, of course, but also laterally into the fence. Very nice. They're just plastic, but I'm pretty sure they'll last at least as long as the Sears push…

Pros
  • Item Package Dimension: 16.0" L x 2.75" W x 4.25" H
Cons
  • The push block lacks versatility and is limited to a specific type of woodworking

Very dangerous safety aid

I cant for the life of me work out why 4 users gave these 5 stars. The ones we have are extremely dangerous as they dont grip the surface properly. Applying even more pressure to counteract this causes loss of control and a VERY real danger of slipping into a jointer blade. I have never had problems with a Shop Fox product before and have a shop full of their products. They wouldnt have even half the gripping power of say Rockler or Bench Dog.

Pros
  • ‎W1401
Cons
  • The plastic is of poor quality and may crack easily with heavy use

Best feature is that it lets you push in all .

This is one of my preferred push devices. I used it primarily with sheet goods, plywood and MDF mainly, and haven't had any issue of slipping that others have mentioned. Best feature is that it lets you push in all 3 directions, down, into the fence, and through the blade at once.

Pros
  • ‎8 ounces
Cons
  • The push block is not suitable for use with table saws as it can get caught on the blade guard

Not a bad option, but slips sometimes

This push block works. It keeps your fingers away from the blades and (usually) sticks to the workpiece. I'd recommend using it for a router table because that's what I use it for, but I assume it would work with a jointer as well. The only problem I have periodically is that the rubber pad slips on the workpiece. I've tried dusting it off to make sure it isn't dirty, but I usually need to use a standard push stick, or my hand on the edge of the piece and just use this push block to keep the…

Cons
  • The non-slip pad on the bottom does not have enough grip and can slip during use

slippery, even dangerous

Nice looking. The pad has a surface film of some slippery plastic and doesn't grip anything. It may feel like you have a grip on the wood but when the wood reaches the blade it turns out this push block has no grip on the work.

Pros

Cons
  • The push block is too expensive for what it offers compared to other similar products on the market

Disappointed with the grip.

Disappointed with the grip on these. I may need to fashion some sort of lip on at least on of them and maybe swap out, or at sand paper over the padded surface to make it grip better.

Pros
  • Accessories
Cons
  • The push block is not compatible with a variety of different woodworking tools and machines

Works well: my feedback

Works as expected. Tacky surface grips well, with no sawdust build-up. Nothing else to say about this simple safety device

Pros
  • ‎1-Year Warranty
Cons
  • The push block is not very durable and may need to be replaced often due to wear and tear
