Larsen's excellence is the best among radio antennas

These are the best NMOs on the market today. Easily accepts a standard NMO antenna or a much more efficient connector used in the GHz band.

Pros
  • Delivery was very fast
Cons
  • So so

Requires a hole slightly larger than 3/4 inch.

It turns out that the 3/4" hole saw is too small. Small cuts should be filed on both sides of the hole to allow the outer part to fit through.

Pros
  • Wide range
Cons
  • Big and bulky

Larsen NMO Mount, need I say more?

Larsen quality, an essential part of new mobile antenna setups for those of us not afraid to poke a hole in tin. It's just not worth sacrificing this product for an unnamed offshore brand in my opinion.

Pros
  • Sequins
Cons
  • Some bugs

Larsen is one of the best

There used to be more NMO mounts. Now you have fewer options. Tram, Larsen and some weird balls that need a 3/4 hole instead of a 3/4 hole. Trust me as someone who changes cars every few years here in the salty Midwest state of Michigan. Larsen holds best and sticks to the regular 3/4 mount. Buy the 3/4 crown they sell, it's made for headliners too. makes the job easier and the sleeve ensures you don't drill any deeper than necessary. This Larsen mount appears to resist corrosion well when used

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • A dodgy purchase for the elderly

Quality Larsen

If I poke a hole in the roof of my new truck and bother to rip it apart to run a cable, I use the best available. The mount is solid and well made for 6GB. The cable is double shielded (foil and tinned braid) with a solid copper core. The o-ring has grease from the packaging so no extra was needed. Just make a clean 3/4" hole (I only use a few for these mounts), insert and tighten. t zip tie with mounting nut This does not come with plug. Performance is great with my old ( third device) Larsenโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Unbelievable price

One of the best NMOs I've dealt with

When I'm dealing with emergency gear and wireless control, I regularly look into NMO antenna mounts (both permanent and also magnetic holders) . I have to say the Larsen NMO bindings are by far one of the best I've used. The quality is good and the cable (wire) is not cheap junk. I have a few suggestions for people using this. Apply dielectric grease (silicone grease) to the o-ring (the underside of the nut that contacts the vehicle/electrical box) and 2. Apply a few drops of medium strengthโ€ฆ

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Not as thick as other options
