LavaLock® High Temp Vision Replacement Correct Review

I used this to seal a very leaky door on my Recteq 700, it's literally perfect for the job! I applied a good quality degreaser to the underside of the lid, applied sealant, lowered the lid and ran the Recteq at 300 degrees for about an hour! The seal holds amazingly well and fits perfectly on the lid! I couldn't be happier!

This came up while looking for a replacement Nomex seal. It goes well with my Vision Kamado. Let's see how well it holds up. Hopefully it will last longer than the original pad, although I'm not optimistic as it feels fluffier and slightly less durable. UPDATE: It's been 2 years and this product is about to expire. It's fairly compressed and lets smoke through. However, I am happy with the value for money.

I got this to replace the gasket on my Primo XL. I carefully cleaned the area of the old gasket and followed the instructions to install it. The glue works well but on the back of the grill the material is literally ripped apart. It will not take long. I don't know how to contact the seller to get a refund as I can't remove it to return it in a usable way. Update: the back where it peeled off has now caught fire from recent use! Beware of this product.

I installed this on my Kamado Vision Grills and it was easier than expected. I removed the old gasket that was there before, cleaned the rim and put this new felt in. It didn't feel very sticky at first, but I left it on for 24 hours (at very low temperatures, close to zero) and it stuck well. It is sufficient to renew the sealing of the ash pan. The print this provides is much better than the print my kamado came with. A+

Bought this a few years ago to use on my newly purchased grill. However, as the projects progress he falls on his hips and is never seen again until quarantine and some more me time. But instead of using it on the grill, I brought the old smoker back from the dead. I carefully followed the instructions for use and applied tape to seal the firebox and vertical smokebox. After scraping with a plastic spatula and razor as instructed by the manufacturer, I applied it on a cold day, but it still stuck well enough that, as one commented, it can be moved. I recently replaced the factory seal on my Vision which lasted about 1 year. I cook with my egg 2 times a week on average. Most food is grilled at 350-400°F with about 12 long and slow smokes per year and 12 high-temperature (600-700+F) pizza sessions.
