I'm sure it can be made quieter but I'm very happy with what I got. I was able to turn those four outs into an 8 without going in more than 3/4.

The pump is not the worst but definitely not as good as advertised. Of course, price follows the rule: you get what you pay for. Doesn't work best with other stones so use the ones provided. I wish it was a little quieter.

I was surprised how much quieter it is than my smaller air pump. I had an issue with two lines not getting much air, but I did a bit of troubleshooting and it turned out that the check valve was the problem. I replaced the two bad ones with the other two I already had and everything works great! I love it.

I bought this because I've moved and put my fish in a new larger tank; I used a canister filter that doesn't agitate the top of the water like a side hanging filter does. My fish struggled to breathe and spent all of their time at the surface of the water. I threw a few stones here and the thyme immediately started behaving normally (swimming on the bottom, eating, resting on the sand). I highly recommend this if your aquarium needs an oxygen boost.

advantages of this pump; Super quiet I have it in my bedroom and not annoying at all. Can launch multiple tanks at once. Excellent value for money and quality. minuses; I currently have 4 small sponge filters and one large. The downside is that if you try to run 2 filters in the same tank on the same line, it will be pulled away from the other filters.
