🌡️ Accurate Temperature Monitoring with Le Creuset Oven Thermometer Review

After struggling with a less expensive CDN device I bought this thermometer with some trepidation. Turns out there wasn't anything to worry about as this thermometer does what it's supposed to do - it accurately reads the temperature. I understand it's hard to spend $20 when these devices are only $5, but in this case you get what you pay for.

Gentle; I put two thermometers in the oven and compared them; they were within 5 degrees of each (and the oven said the temperature was like this - in this case 450 degrees - I was baking bread). It's easy to read and you can hang it up or put it on a stand. It would be nice if the bottom, which allows mounting on luggage racks, was a bit wider or longer; You don't have much room for error when you mount it on a rack. However, I am very happy with this small, simple mechanism.

I was glad to get this thermometer because it measures the boiling point of water so it can be easily calibrated. I use this type of thermometer for bread and meat. I was very disappointed the first time I used it as the front lens melted and foamed in the oven. I think it will be fine for people who only use it outside of the oven, but I'd appreciate it if there was a clear "Not Oven Safe" warning somewhere on the packaging.
