Great Gift!: Stacking Blocks

My grandkids love playing with these magnet figures! Whether it's checking forms or checking out free spins, this gift is priceless!

Pros
  • Great Overall Achievement
Cons
  • Some Problems

Thin but sticks well

The magnets are thin but if you take care of them they will last a long time. They stick perfectly to the board and are strong enough for geometry lessons with students.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • I don't remember but there was something

Ideal for construction toys

Love! I use them in my kindergarten class and the kids love them. We used them to create several shapes. I ended up buying 2 sets so they were enough to make hexagons in many different ways.

Pros
  • Absolute Legend
Cons
  • Quality

Thin magnets are useful for assembling toys

The magnets are large, which is good for little hands, but they're made of a very thin, flimsy material. I was hoping they would be thick and solid like Learning Resources' other template blocks.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Ribbon

Great Magnetic Math Visual

I can't tell you how many times I've, um, pasted real sample blocks onto my whiteboard to create a demo. I finally thought - why not see if I can get a magnetic kit? I don't know why I didn't think of this many years ago! Excellent purchase. I think they are well made, nice and big for kids to see well.

Pros
  • Easy to Use
Cons
  • Ugly Packaging

Great for educational use

Great for educational use. They are big enough to hold geometry lessons for the whole class. Their magnets are strong enough to prevent slipping off. If they get dirty, they can simply be wiped off. Comes in a nice box, spacious enough to fit in some boxes where items need to fit perfectly to close the box.

Pros
  • Good item
Cons
  • Replacement availability

Edges will crease after minimal use

The shapes themselves are colorful and oversized and go well together. Their design is thin and they fold at the edges, do not return to their original position quickly, most remained bent after being taken off the magnetic surface once or twice. This is the only complaint I have about the product I would like it to make them thicker.

Pros
  • Best
Cons
  • Not All Match

Great for the blackboard

I use this on the blackboard in class. Large displays are great for kids and me. Children in the back can also see them well. I like that you can stack them on top of each other. This makes it easy to show that 1 hexagon equals 3 diamonds, etc. Children love to invent and use "giant blocks". There is a large number of blocks. They love to swim in a box, so I tie each block to its buddies with a rubber band and keep them all in the original packaging. You can also use a separate box.

Pros
  • This is great
Cons
  • Some bugs
