Fun and Educational Skeleton Puzzle

Using this puzzle, our team found that it was easy to assemble and the detailed skeleton provided a great learning opportunity. The size of the pieces was perfect for kids' hands and it made for a fun group activity. However, the cardboard is a bit flimsy and may not withstand rough play. Overall, a great addition to any Toys and Games collection.

Pros
  • Interactive and educational. As the child builds the puzzle, they learn about the bones and structure of the human body.
Cons
  • Difficult to assemble for very young children. The complexity of the puzzle may frustrate and discourage some children from completing it.

Great for preschoolers.

This is a great puzzle for my 3 to 5 year old preschool class. The foam is thick but not hard and the pieces fit together very well. The detailing on the front isn't impressive, but I don't need it. Nice that the technical names are listed on the back for my more advanced kids to read. I probably wouldn't want that for an older age. The kids put it together pretty quickly. I'm glad I bought this.

Pros
  • A great introduction to teaching the human skeletal system
Cons
  • The list will go on.

While not the most detailed skeleton, we bought this for our boy when he was just over 2.5 years old. - accompanied by The Skeleton Inside You, and he got straight to the point. In fact, I was very surprised at how skillfully he put this "puzzle" together, since at the time he was struggling with very simple, age-appropriate puzzles. Either way, the skeleton itself fascinates curious minds, and putting the puzzle together is only part of the fun. Naming body parts, comparing sizes, discussing…
