Uneven thickness.

Thickness decreases sharply in one of the corners. This is 1/3 the thickness in this area. Scratches and scuffs elsewhere. Not constant thickness.

Pros
  • Cool product
Cons
  • Empty

Good skin is beautiful and robust.

Ordered for Robert Sorby to make slick and bit covers. Not stitched yet, but the skin is nice and thick. It will be just perfect to protect my tools.

Pros
  • Feels good
Cons
  • Very expensive

High quality leather

Satisfied with the quality. It's actually a bit thicker than I expected. My only advice is to make sure it is split leather (aka suede) and NOT upper or real leather. Neither side is smooth.

Pros
  • Complete set
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Inconsistency in finish and thickness.

Some areas of the smooth side were as rough as the flesh side. It was able to use about 1/3 of the skin spend a lot of time polishing the rough spots.

Pros
  • About 2 to 3 mm or 1/16"+ thick)
Cons
  • Not bad, but...

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Good quality but thicker than expected

Ideal thickness for my project is 3/32" or just under 2.5mm. Piece says 2-3mm or 1 /16". Now 3mm is a lot closer to 1/8" but I was hoping that with such a wide millimeter range and 1/16" wording it would be closer to the middle of the range or 2.5mm. 3.1mm to 3.4mm. About 1/8"

Pros
  • 2 square feet (12" x 24") as pictured
Cons
  • Doubtful

Not great quality. best in leather strips, shapes and cuts

At first glance it appears to be heavier than described. Second, the finished side is far from smooth, almost to the point I thought it was the wrong side until I looked at the wrong side! I went ahead and made a sheath for the knife and while shaping it I found a cut in a flap over the knife handle. deep and splayed when I started shaping it so that part was useless for what I was doing. So basically half the piece was wasted except for a smaller project. The finished side would not be…

Pros
  • Heavy weight (5 to 6 oz;)
Cons
  • Crumpled
