This is a solid product but it has rounded corners and I'm not sure if the edge is straight enough to cut. I wouldn't use it as anything other than a ruler to measure distances. That means I wouldn't use it as a ruler for marking distances or making cuts.

Also, the silkscreen on the top edge of the blade is offset, meaning 0 to 1 inch is actually 15/16 by 1 inch, so I'll be measuring from the 1 mark as if it's zero.
