Small containers in gravel cleaners only

This is a small gravel cleaner only suitable for small containers. The main pipe is less than 1 inch in diameter while the flexible hose is only 1/4 inch ID. Don't expect to use it for a quick water change. However, it seems to be of the right quality for this purpose.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • No mold required

Works well in gravel cleaners

Simple variety but easy to use and does a good job. I've only used it a few times but seem to get most of the nasty stuff. The rocks will soak up a bit, but shake them and they'll come out right away. I like that it siphons the water if I do a water change, just stick the hose in the patient and I'm gone about ten minutes. I have no need or desire to get anything else that meters out what it's supposed to do with a slight elbow offset.

Pros
  • Good workmanship
Cons
  • So far so good

Not bad, but there is room for improvement.

I used this to vacuum some sunken food and some mold/fungus from my 10 gallon. I got most of it, but it absorbs a lot of water. I think it would be better if it sucked up less water and more dirt. I might have gotten the size wrong though. Another problem is that when I was using it the hose in the bucket started popping out of the bucket, I didn't notice for a few seconds until my socks got wet. I kept putting it back in the bucket but it kept clicking. I've seen some of them with hose clamps,

  • Handy Item

  • Cargo

Shit that didn't work

I very rarely feel the need to rate a product with a very bad rating; However, these items were just crap. I kept trying to get him to vacuum the dirt off the bottom of my tank; However, only water was siphoned off and very little rubbish/fish waste. The siphon also worked very slowly. I mean for the price I paid I wasn't expecting miracles and magical results; I expected him to vacuum my fish tank. This is pretty much just a water lifting device, not an air purifier/vacuum cleaner. I honestlyโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Worth the money
Cons
  • It's ok
