🔦 LEGO Power Functions Light Kit 8870 Review

Works great! Bought a set for my son. His move required some modifications to make it fit, but we checked it out on YouTube. Very happy with this purchase!

My son has 2 sets of powertrains so we took these lights to add to the motor of one of the sets. He likes to dim/turn off the lights in the room so he can see the electric lights on the train. The actual parts are small enough to be easily included in the assembly. The cable is long enough to reach the IR receiver at the back of the train.

It's so neat! I bought them for the hubs because he has a lego passenger train. Well he set it up in our basement, turned off all the lights and let go. I was SHOCKED at how bright they are. There is a switch on the train console to turn it on and off. When they were on, when the train went around the bend and the light showed on the wall, it was so bright and clear. Very realistic. only mini! very satisfied.

Works great. After watching a YouTube video (posted by a private individual, not Lego) I was able to easily add this light set to my 60051 Lego passenger train set. Now with a single button on the remote control that comes with the 60051 train I can turn on, dim and dim the lights on the train. There is also another remote control to turn on the train and increase and decrease speed. LOVE IT!

Not all Lego train sets have lights, most do. You must order a separate lighting kit. Also some trains use "Power Function" and some use "Power Up" (Bluetooth compatible) as power source. So when you order you know your train number from the box. For example the latest Legos 60197 is a power up model and Power Function lighting kits will NOT work with it. You would order from a Revain or Lego store, have your model number handy and order a lighting kit. Do your homework first, make sure you get
