This blade comes from Germany or China.

Leifheit potato pearler made of stainless steel. The blade is not as sharp as the old type I used to buy. The scrub is not smooth.

Pros
  • Robust design
Cons
  • Miscellaneous Miscellaneous

Good for removing potato eyes

Good for removing potato eyes and other imperfections as the sharp edge cuts them out very well. Not good for exfoliation, hard to get the right pressure. But for removing the "eye" it's great.

Pros
  • Well done
Cons
  • Hard to say

Sharp and easy on kitchen utensils and gadgets

This stainless steel paring knife has a nice sharp blade and a modern look. Here is a closeup photo of the blade. The metal blade at the end is firmly attached to the hilt - it's not one to stagger on hinges. This will help put more effort into the potatoes. This Leifheit vegetable peeler was developed in Germany and made in China.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Bad impression

Strong, sharp, but! for peeler

very sharp! It's designed in Germany but made in China. Has a 3-year guarantee from Leifheit. It should be a company that is known for its quality. Cons of this: Can be slippery. A rubber grip would have been better and I feel it takes off too much as the 'cleaner' is immobile. Works best with citrus peels and thick-skinned foods like jicama, ginger, sweet potatoes. My Farberware Bevel Knife Puller works and feels better.

Pros
  • holding my fists
Cons
  • some trouble

A great potato peeler is a must for this purpose

Great for what it claims to do: peeling potatoes. Very well made and lasts forever. Very durable and comfortable to hold, unlike other cleaners that can hurt your hands if you're not careful. But now I have separate cleaners for different things: 1 with a notch, one for small things like ginger and this one. This peeler isn't for ginger for example, can someone come up with spare blades for a nice grip :) so we're just dealing with a peeler?

Pros
  • Fits many
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

So far so good! - Kitchen and Dining

I am disappointed with cheap potato peelers that are uncomfortable to hold and bend with the slightest pressure. Unfortunately, this potato peeler from Leifheit is extremely comfortable to hold. and use. The cleaning blade is strong and will not bend when pressed. It's spicy, which allows you to make nice, shallow bowls without taking too many potatoes with you. I'm throwing away two other peelers that I've struggled with over the past few years. This is my new scrub.

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Slightly torn

Not for me: Kitchen & Dining

I really wanted to like this potato peeler (I'm into German stuff) but I ended up not liking the design at all. I don't know if that's typical of German potato peelers or not, but his peeling part is something of the opposite of American potato peelers: the middle part is closer to the potato's skin than the sides, while all American potato peelers I've had/have sometimes a sunken middle part. As a result, I've personally found it harder to peel potato back alleys than with any other vegetableโ€ฆ

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • High Price

Not bad, especially with thick-skinned fruit!

As for the potato peeler, my favorite is still the old one we had, probably 40 years old. View with open handle and pivoting carbon steel blade. This Leifheit knife is great for peeled foods like oranges and other citrus fruits! For thick-skinned foods, the blade has wider holes that allow you to make deeper cuts and get as much skin as you want. The fixed blade doesn't pivot, which I find helpful when peeling thick-skinned oranges, etc. Great for potatoes but my 40 year old peeler still worksโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Absolute legend
Cons
  • Clarity

Aesthetically pleasing, fully functional peeler

My manual peeler was coming to an end. The blade wasn't as sharp as it used to be, and at some point you want to avoid a rusty kitchen tool. I decided on a new peeling and decided on this one. I have never used the brand before but decided to give it a try because of the design. First, this tool is 100% steel. It's great for any kitchen, but it's especially good for any kitchen that has stainless steel appliances. The product is quite long so it fits comfortably in any hand (male or female). It

Pros
  • GOLS certified
