Massive cable to connectors

This cable is thick and heavy. Too redesigned for what I need for my small utility trailer. Even with the junction box, it was difficult to connect the solid wires to the wires from the various lamps. The 12ft cable was about 1ft shorter and I had to lengthen it.

Pros
  • Weight
Cons
  • The list is long.

Not US trailer cable color code!

Color code for American trailer wiring is not used here! Be sure to check and label each wire for its function or you'll get a headache. The build quality seems to be good. The color code problem is a real problem if you don't understand it and it should be stated in the product description!

Pros
  • Rugged Finish
Cons
  • Vulgarity

The quality is right for the price

Not bad at all, but just a few notes. The fork is as good as my other Hoppy ones, but the price is much lower. The wire colors are a bit odd and I'm wondering what gauge the wire uses for some of the internal wires. All this to say that it works as it should, at least for now.

  • Impressive

Low voltage devices

scrap. Everything (properly) connected. Went back and forth forever trying to figure it out. Long story short, I lost power on the line. Shows 12V at the truck and 3V at the end of this wire. Used jumpers to diagnose the problem and work through everything. Passing this cable solved my problem. Of course I've been under construction for a while so the return window was closed when I tried. Now I've run out of money I spent. So annoying.

Pros
  • great product
Cons
  • defects available

Exact replacement for a damaged fork!

Great cable at a great price. Don't listen to other reviewers who obviously know nothing about trailer wiring. All 7-pin plugs on trailers or vehicles do not match in color when plugged in. People need to do their research before taking on a project they don't know about. It fits perfectly and makes a very robust impression. The wire inside the sheath is very flexible, making assembly easier. I would highly recommend this to anyone needing a replacement molded trailer end cap. 5 Stars

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Hard to say

You need to fix the cables

The quality of this product is good, but why not? Check everything and find out that the wiring is completely wrong. I think I should have read the reviews before buying so much. Went under my trailer and hooked up all these wires to check everything and found out the wiring is all wrong. I think I should have read the reviews before I bought it, very disappointed

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Good but not great

Check the wiring and colors first!

You must specify which colors they use for which function. The brown wire normally used for parking lights has been replaced with the green wire I use for right turns. The center pin, typically used for reverse lights, was supposed to be purple, but it was yellow, which is typically used for left turns. I didn't find out until my trailer was fully connected. Luckily I used a junction box so creating patches wasn't a nightmare. Prospective buyers should check the wiring and layout before…

Poor design - trailer accessories

I bought it 12 feet long and spent some time with a very good installation. I checked it and everything was fine. pat me on the back No more semi-armored wiring. I parked the caravan. After 3 months I pull the trailer, but there are no daytime running lights. I was furious because for the first time I didn't have a bunch of cables, electrical testers and accessories with me and we would be out for the rest of the day. The brake lights worked, but the parking lights didn't work. I came home and…

Good quality with color code very well written

There are two main wiring standards for 7 pin trailer connectors: traditional and RV. The ones I received are color coded for RVs, which is the most common thing with trailer cables like this one. However, most trailers I own have conventional wiring. Yellow When replacing the 7-pin cables on your trailers, you should check which is which. I converted about half a dozen farm trailers from an old 6 lane post to a 7 lane dump and all the trailers were wired traditionally and all the new wires…
