Description of Lenovo Display Processor GeForce 82JW0012US
- A laptop with excellent weight distribution. The cooling system is very well structured and the concept behind it is really thorough. Whenever I'm just going about my day-to-day business on the laptop, it hardly makes a sound. An additional NVMe M2 SSD can be installed if the user so chooses. Even though they are simple in design, solid-state drives (SSDs) can be purchased with accompanying heatsinks. By the way, a factory-fresh SK Hynix SSD is not guaranteed to be the slowest model available. It is also simple to expand the total amount of memory; by default, there are two dies that each contain 8 GB operating at 3200 MHz. About six hours of productive work time (not gaming time) is possible thanks to the battery, which is, by my estimation, a very respectable amount of time. I particularly enjoyed the screen; in contrast to the screen on my old laptop, this one is of far higher quality.
- Very hefty, very massive, and a heavy load for charging. Possibly this is all there is to it, albeit they are not flaws in a gaming laptop; rather, they represent my own preferences.
- - Excellent construction. - A chic, modern design. - Carefully selected elements that work well together - Matte, non-marking matrix with a frequency of 120 Hz. excellent color reproduction - Lenovo Vantage firmware is not horrible, however it would be preferable to switch to the more user-friendly Lenovo Legion Toolkit. – Effective cooling system. The laptop's coolers may not be present for a long time and stay cold; at low speeds, they are also seldom audible. - A practical touchpad that supports all the essential gestures. plays poorly and is easily pressed. - No need to hold the case when opening the laptop lid with one hand. - A shutter allows the webcam to mechanically close. - The keyboard backlight has two degrees of brightness. It glows sufficiently brightly on the second. - a quiet, comfortable keyboard with responsiveness. We possess a pad. - An excellent discrete graphics card with RTX (DLSS support in recent games boosts FPS).
- The casing is particularly prone to contamination. The webcam is an advertisement here because the quality is poor and all fingerprints and micro-scratches are apparent. - The matrix's maximum brightness is low. 80–90% should be the setting indoors. Nothing will be observed in public - The sound quality is subpar. There is no bottom; the high frequencies are overemphasized. It occasionally even slashes the ear. The Dolby Access program somewhat improves the problem (the laptop also includes a built-in Dolby Atmos system for the same purposes, although it is completely useless). This is actually an equalizer with specialized presets for particular use situations. - Lenovo Vantage is a powerful computer management program. Replace with Lenovo Legion Toolkit, which does the same functions but uses a lot less RAM and CPU resources. - Power profiles' work is incomprehensible. Yes, the maximum frequency of the CPU and GPU grows in ascending order for each profile, but this has no impact whatsoever on rendering or gaming. The most recent games can be played in Quiet Mode (blue) and High Ultra graphics at 60 frames per second. The computer will even become cooler and quieter than in previous modes. - My copy of the 82NL000CRK has a 60 wh battery that has been reduced (it can be replaced with a larger one), and it also has RAM with high timings. HMAA1GS6CJR6N-XN SK HYNIX. Change is absolutely required because it has a significant impact on how CAD work is done. - The cooling system's whistle is the biggest drawback. The sound is delivered at extremely high frequencies, cutting the ear. I arrived to the conclusion that the most of Legion 5 2022 have this issue after avoiding the majority of the forums and viewing a lot of videos. The cooling system's design, as well as the video card's chokes, the CPU, the matrix, and the WI-FI adapter - whomever comes across something that is not very usable - can all cause a whistle. Because the sound only occurs when the GPU is under heavy load, it looks that on my copy the video card chokes whistle in conjunction with the CO design. The proper power profile setting and ongoing development on Quiet Mode (everyone makes their own decisions) were somewhat helpful to me.
- - Good full size keyboard - Good sound - High performance - Nice screen - Good cooling - Easy maintenance - Strong reliable body - Good autonomy
- - Disgusting touchpad. Firstly, the horror is that there are no physical buttons (left-middle-right buttons), the touchpad itself reacts to pressing as the chip falls: you select the text, then press to the right to bring up the context menu, but it perceives it as a left button, because for which your selection just gets lost, and this can happen several times in a row. When you click on the left, suddenly, on the contrary, sometimes a context menu will appear, as if I pressed the right button. It is also not so easy to catch where the middle button is pressed: you often miss and, for example, by clicking on the tab you simply close it, and vice versa, when you open the link by pressing the middle button, so that it opens in a new tab, the left button is suddenly pressed and your main one is overloaded with a link knocking down the state of the site you just visited. The same trouble will happen if you try to use the right button for the context menu and select "Open in new tab". You can understand what verbal epithets it evokes in me in the process . The second feature of this touchpad is sensitivity to moisture in the fingers. If they are dry, then the cursor starts to get stuck, or even stops moving altogether. It is generally impossible to play with this in anything in real time. But gamers usually do not consider the touchpad at all, and immediately play on a normal mouse. The touchpad on my past Lenovo Thinkpad P50 was excellent in comparison, if not perfect. - Glitchy lagging WiFi module. The laptop is equipped with a Realtek module, which catches badly, periodically gives out a terrible ping, or even falls off altogether, although it is 5 meters from the router. Replaced with my old Intel's (Intel Wireless-AC 9260), which I bought separately and which served me faithfully and now everything is fine.
- Very good value for money
