Unreliable and Disappointing

Based on my observations, this hole saw was a complete letdown. Despite being marketed as an "Industrial and Scientific" tool it failed to meet even basic expectations .The pros were few and far between, but the only redeeming factor was its carbide construction. Unfortunately, THIS sole pro couldn't outweigh the glaring cons. The saw's teeth dulled after a single use and it struggled with even the simplest of tasks. Overall, i would not recommend this product to anyone looking for a reliable…

Pros
  • Durable carbide material ensures long-lasting use.
Cons
  • May chip or break if dropped or used improperly.

Expensive but works well. Cuts through plaster walls like butter.

Usually buy Milwaukee Hole Dozer saws; They are sharp and durable. But drilling holes in plaster walls wears them out quickly. I switched to this LENOX carbide saw and it works very well. It cuts clean holes in thick plaster in seconds. Hasn't lost its edge yet. I can't comment on how well it cuts other materials, but it's carbide, so it should handle metal just fine.
