Excellent blade for soft metals

Lenox LXP is one of the best blades for cutting softer non-ferrous metals. We use it in our manufacturing facility to cut solid aluminum bar up to 8" x 8". Choose a coarse tooth from 3 to 6 TPI and the variable pitch provides a smooth cut. The blade is also very strong, lasting a little over 2 months at a time, cutting 12ft bars to the required length (10 to 25 inches) throughout the day.

Pros
  • Provides high cutting performance
Cons
  • Miscellaneous Miscellaneous

Smooth cut, aluminum and steel

I use this on a 7" x 12" Harbor Freight horizontal band saw and it works very well with aluminum or steel. I use coolant and let the saw do its thing. So far it looks like I'm getting a lot of clippings off the blade until I force it. The blade that came with the saw worked but after reading online I decided to upgrade to a bi-metal blade and I'm glad I did. It cuts smoother than the original blade, which I keep as a spare.

Pros
  • Optimized variable pitch and setting sequence for quiet cutting and low vibration
Cons
  • No instructions

2 of 3 wrong or poor quality

Update* Revain is definitely not the place to order them. 2 out of 3 had problems. Last time I got the wrong blade delivered and the Revain driver was kind enough to throw an empty water bottle onto my porch. The first one I got was perfect and lasted several months. The second one I got had a sweat crack that caused the blade to bounce when cutting unless I slowed it down. I ordered another one hoping it will be as good as the first.

Pros
  • Suitable for cutting sheet metal, solid shapes and cylindrical tubing
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging
