Reliable, well-made tripod

This is a monster tripod. Easily comparable to more expensive system tripods from Gitzo etc. at 1/3 the cost. Very strong and nicely finished, with 10x carbon fiber making it reasonably light and well finished aircraft aluminum. I set up a Canon 5D MK-II with a Sigma 300mm lens combined with the Leofoto LH-40 ball head that came with the tripod and it was solid. stealing for the price.

Pros
  • One-year trial
Cons
  • Many things

I love everything about it. I wanted a lighter tripod than the aluminum I had. But also one that had a large-diameter leveling base and a weight for shooting. Well, this tripod did both to the highest degree. The bare tripod wasn't exactly where the most weight savings were made. Much of the weight savings came from the leveling base, the QD plate and the mount used to connect the binoculars. Based on the old pan/tilt combo I'd say it's at least a pound short. This pound increases rapidly…

Pros
  • Great overall performance
Cons
  • Only available in black

Super stable, great tripod at less than half the price of the RRS and Gitzo

Great tripod at a great price. If you need a big, sturdy tripod without breaking your back, then this is for you. All parts are very high quality. Super stable, all tripod leg segments are well made and assembled. I used my friend's RRS TVC-24L and a Gitzo Series 4 tripod, they are second to none for ease of use and build quality. Opening the package is a pleasure. The tripod bag is also well made, with extra space for the ball head. To my surprise, this tripod is slightly larger than I…

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Speed

I have had a 5 series LN-404c for over a year now and am very happy with the tripod. So I decided to get another Series 4 for my trip. Turns out the Series 4 is even better. The locking mechanism is now multi-threaded rather than single-threaded as in the 5th series. Build quality remains the same thanks to the smooth CF and CNC center base. I prefer a large mid base like this over the Benro TMA series. The only minor downside is that the Series 4 doesn't have 2-in-1 spikes with protective…

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • Slightly torn

Best value for money

I bought this tripod to use for standing rifle hunting and photography. Excellent performance in both scenarios. I wouldn't say this size and weight is for light travel, but it definitely saves weight compared to other tripods of this size and thickness. When using a tripod with a rifle or even a camera, you need to get it as close to the dish/head as possible. This will give you better stability. As such, retractable necks on traditional tripods are convenient, but sacrifice stability for the…

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Slightly dented

While some parts look/feel solid, few parts like the level of quick removal.

The goods are OK. I bought with all the advertised reviews about it. While some details look/feel solid, some details, such as B. the quick removal stage, fragile. The legs are too stiff for the job and the mechanism isn't as smooth as advertised. Maybe I received a bad copy; but my rating is based on the tripod I received. The best part is the carrying case that comes with it. It's well padded. Edit: 06/05/2018 I finally chose the ProMediaGear 424 series, the difference is significant. First…
