Great lightweight replacement cord connectors to make your own. Remember to connect the large end of the cable to the large contact side of the plug. There are only two wires, so it's not hard to figure out.

Very simple and robust construction. It's more than just the end of a lamp cord connector. He can handle difficult tasks. I've used one on a Weller D550 soldering iron and it's back in business. Just note that it is not grounded and must be used with 2 wires.

Excellent quality polarized plug. The larger fork feels good in the hand. Screws that can actually tighten the wires. I had to cut a thin piece of plastic inside the connector to allow the wires' insulation to fit and close the lid. I bought and used 10 but will be buying more.

These plugs are much safer for my fellow retirees. Your old lamps that you brought with you often have less secure non-polarized plugs. I change the fork as part of any other repair that is required. The large plug makes it easier for older, arthritic hands to pull off.
