What a great upgrade for my 16 and 18 ga two wire extension cords. I had an issue with the cable getting hot even though the load was below the wire rating. Replaced the receptor ends with these and Bam. Problem solved. Everything works as cool as it can be.

If you need to replace a 2-wire extension socket or, for example, use a 2-wire cable from a recently switched off electrical appliance as an extension cord, this will get the job done. It's a little difficult to get the wires in the right place, but a little fiddling did the trick for me.

I removed the cord from an old sweeper that someone threw away. I thought the cord would be a good extension for the sweeper I use at work. I have sockets at home, but they are big and chunky, yellow, with three prongs. The sweeper at work has two teeth. This plug (connector) was easy to install. I pulled the cord but the wires stayed. Another person said it wasn't for round cord, but I tried it anyway and the cord fits.

This suction cup opens wide enough to leave plenty of room for wiring. The terminal screws don't loosen much unfortunately, so you'll have to slide the wire in and then around them to get a tight fit. Not too comfortable. The only screw to close the sandwich is far back and in the middle, which means you'll have to strip the outer sheathing of the wires at least as far back as the wire can run on either side of it. I want the outer casing to be tight up to the fork, and at least up to the fork,

Beautiful design, ease of use. Both sides of the clamshell exterior fold out from the connection on the back of the blades for easy access. Well embossed protectors around the screws.
