Easy to install and operate.

What can be said about a switched socket outlet other than it works? It was an easy replacement for a worn out switch socket that was in my desk lamp. This allowed me to fit an LED lightbulb into the light and now that there are no electronics in many lights to deal with it is now connected to a Wi-Fi/Wemo Smart Plug and I can turn it on remotely - or turn off. Just to be safe, for those of you who might get electrically "rejected", either have it plugged in by someone who knows what they're…

Hard to find and very few options on the market. At this price, repairing cheap imported lamps becomes affordable and justified. I'm not sure how they will perform in the long run as the spindle that goes to the handle is quite flimsy and easy to bend. However, that's probably why they're surprisingly easy to turn on and off - so much easier than anything I've used before. And like an old man with weak hands, that's good! The internal parts are very different from those that have been replaced…
