Suitable for proper use.

This is a non-metal surface mount jack useful in small spaces. The receiver is not grounded on its surface, but the outputs are grounded. Not recommended for use in harsh environments or damage.

Conventional Surface Mount End Cap

Formerly a common item at any hardware store. Now they are as rare as they are in hardware stores and hard to find online. I needed a low profile surface mount bushing to make a permanent connection to the Romex and this fit the bill. It has screw terminals (not push-in quick connect terminals) and a ground terminal. Reliable and well made

This is a solid product with a good weight. The vintage style makes them more appealing than more modern boxes with a traditional spout in my opinion. There are holes in several places on the sides as well as on the back, giving you many options for cable management. The brass blades are very strong and make good contact with connectors. Inside there is enough space for cables. One thing to note, however, is that unlike most traditional outlets these days, there is no way to separate two plugs…
