Up to six pairs of these devices will work with the LG 47LX9500. The price has changed a lot over time. Bought for about $80, then a few more for $23(!), now they've gone back up to $50. We normally use all six pairs at once and we haven't had a single complaint of their failure. I have a habit of recharging them after watching a movie so they never died during a movie.
