Great Drill

This drill is great for preparing wood for carving. I keep it with my maple wood drill supplies so I don't use it anywhere else. It was a great purchase!

Pros
  • Power & Hand Tools
Cons
  • Unbelievable Price

I have used other bits that are much better.

The drill clogs instantly and you have to push hard to go more than an inch. You can also use a standard bit. I have used other bits that are much better.

Pros
  • Jobber's Drill
Cons
  • Very Expensive

This beat is best for tapping trees!

This is a SHARP drill. I found a quick fix when trying to remove wood from a flute. This drill is exactly what the doctor ordered for tapping trees, the instructions were very clear. The mistake I made was my speed when drilling the taphole. This was my first time tapping trees. I carefully removed the drill bit, leaving small shavings in the tap hole. The trick is to get the club out quickly. Due to the shape of the grooves, they hold a lot of chips, a rather fast pull creates enough suction…

Pros
  • Twist drill
Cons
  • Cord is shorter than other picks
