Fits in my EXTRA LARGE fully clad frame and offers lots of extra room.

The product looks very small but when unfolded it easily fits me fully clothed - with extra room. (I'm 290 pounds and I'm 1.80 m tall.) I was concerned it wouldn't be easy to put it back in the included pouch after use. I was afraid for no reason, because I put it back in my pocket without any problems. We bought 4 so we could have one for each of us. I do not regret the purchase.

Saved me 2 overnight camping trips

I bought a Live Bivy emergency sleeping bag as a backup because I figured I wouldn't need it on my hike. At night the actual temperature was lower than I expected and my 20 degree sleeping bag didn't keep me warm. After a slight tremor I decided to take the Life Bivy out of the box and then put it on top of my sleeping bag. I got warm immediately. It was a wonderful feeling to be able to sleep in warmth. Get one of these and forget about expensive sleeping bags that promise to work in cold…

Big! The seller says thank you with his hands

So I first used it one night kayaking with my brother and we slept in hammocks. That night it started raining and it was 48 degrees and at first we just lay on it but at night it got colder so we ended up in the bag and it worked a lot better. I am 6ft 2ft 235lbs and was tall enough for me. I would recommend this bag for several reasons, 1 because it's small and compact and takes up very little space, 2 because it really keeps you warm and also repels water, 3 because it's pretty durable and…

A Real Lifesaver!: Camping & Hiking

I just got my Life Bivy. I took it on a hike and decided to only use it to test the material this product is made of and if it can insulate me as the manufacturer says. I have to say that this product did not disappoint me at all. I pulled really hard and tried to tear the material but it just didn't tear. Remember I didn't use any sharp objects like a knife. Before I pack the tent up again when I get home I wanted to clean it so I wet it with water and see if the material is weather resistant…

Serious? in Tents & Shelters

All of these four and five star reviews are pretty amazing, especially considering this item is being marketed as "Emergency Survival Gear". I took it on an ice fishing trip to the Adirondacks in New York. Slept in tents at -3F. I let my son use my canvas bivouac and used this one. I ordered camping gear, saw this product and decided to give it a try. First of all, this is not a tent. This really is a very large mylar blanket for $20. While it may still have its value, using this item as a tent

Just a rescue blanket

Bought this in 2018 to keep in the car in case of an emergency. Based on all the positive feedback, I was confident that in the event of an emergency strike, I would be prepared for the worst. But like most, I never really believed I needed to use this thing, so I never thought of "testing" it before I needed it. Unfortunately I was wrong. During the short hike, a "cold snap" suddenly struck, bringing the forecast overnight low of 59F to the actual 29F and it started snowing. Both my tent and…
