Type of review

These rebar bulkheads are huge. I bought (7) 1 inch and (1) 3/4. And I'm glad I bought the Unisils too because I like and use them better. I bought these for use in my fish tank and auto siphon and they do not fit directly onto pipes or elbows. You will need to purchase additional male adapters (such as a 1" or 3/4" male adapter) for both ends if you want to attach pipes or tubing.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Miscellaneous Miscellaneous

Half of the hardware I bought was unusable

I bought four of these and was able to use two. However, the two I used were easy to screw on and off, the other two required me to use channel locks and a pipe wrench just to get them apart. They could not be used once inserted into the barrel. Not sure why half of these fittings were so difficult to unscrew while the rest worked great. I now have to buy another pair and will certainly not buy these again. Hope that helps

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Not bad but...

Worked great to build an emergency water barrel.

. They worked great even though the bulkhead bolt + bushing cost more than the barrel itself! (By the way, here's the secret to how this works if you have a barrel with two bait holes and don't want to cut off the entire top to get at the assembly: Thread a line through one of the holes on the barrel, pull through that just drilled hole at the bottom and then slide the bulkhead along the cord down to the hole). A small silicone bead in addition to the supplied rubber seal ensures 100% water…

Pros
  • . High score for grip and durability from the testers.
Cons
  • . Not as thick as the other options.
