Good barriers! on Fish & Aquatic Pets

Worked great in my saltwater mix tank. There is a small bulge on the inside of the flange which I sanded down because I was afraid it might leak. It took 2 minutes and everything went fine. I am happy with these partitions.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • poorly thought out

Bulkhead fitting 1/2 "

When I bought it, I assumed that it was a 1/2" fitting. Nowhere in the description does it say the threaded part is 1 inch. Like I said, I thought it was 1/2 inch. Useless to me but on the good side it was affordable. You need to update the description of this item.

Pros
  • Robust construction
Cons
  • Small parts

Functional but could use improvement

I use this for drainage in a plastic container, it works great and the quality is good. The only problem I have is that the rim that will be inside is thick, probably a half inch high, making it difficult for water to drain; It would be nice if it was more hidden.

Pros
  • Price
Cons
  • Expensive

INCLUDED WITH A GASKET!

I've been an aquarist for 40 years and have bought hundreds of bulkheads during that time - and each came with two spacers. You must have two spacers, one on each side of the glass or acrylic _ or other material to keep it watertight. I think they just didn't want to spend the 20 cents that a second pad would cost. rick

Pros
  • Dope πŸ”₯
Cons
  • Slightly dented

Good quality, good price, they work.

Mounts on three 55/60 gallon plastic drums. Used RTV Sealer on one of them and it didn't leak; had a perfect seal. The ones without sealant leaked. I didn't want to over tighten them so as not to break them. Still leaks after giving them an extra 1/2 to a full turn. I don't know the torque specs, but I'm pretty sure they were overtightened. I actually tightened one of them until the rubber gasket was knocked out from under the lock nut, I had to unscrew it. It didn't break the bulkhead, but…

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Crumpled
