When I came here it had some sort of swing trailer that had a tire blow out and I just felt different than all the other times I've pulled the same combo, but just by attaching the bags the truck is a lot more solid. I have tried to install kit 59551 on my 2007 ram 1500 but both top mounting brackets are aligned with or near the frame weld on either side of the truck. The instructions state that the bracket must be flush with the frame, it doesn't sit flush and I'm not comfortable drilling holes in or near the frame welds. Also, the passenger airbag is very close to the muffler and I am concerned that heat will cause airbag problems. I am returning this kit and purchasing a Firestone airbag system that fits

I have a half ton truck and tow it almost every day. These bags made a big difference when towing. There is now almost no sag under loads that used to lower my truck 5 inches in the rear. Let me start by saying that these bags worked well, did exactly what they were supposed to do and offered improved safety, performance and security on the go. They also come with well-made parts and very clear instructions that make installation much easier. The only thing I have concerns the placement of the top mounting bracket on the frame.
