I ordered this as an identical replacement for my old opener. The old opener could be programmed as up/down/stop. I found instructions for this programming on the Liftmaster website that didn't work. I called tech support - they confirmed programming was possible - and they talked me through it (as did the web instructions) and it didn't work.
