Puts out flames

Bad design. There are no air holes in the base to feed the flame, so it burns very, very low. If you place the chimney too quickly, the flame will go out because there is no air coming from below! The screw on the base didn't match my glass oil container! I had to use an old base and then screw a real burner into this part, but there was no ventilation for the flame! Not very good!

Bad replacement when you need a new one

At first this product came bent and out of shape. It wasn't packaged well so I had to fold each piece back the way it was supposed to be in order to use it. It didn't fit any lamp for which I needed a replacement head. On one it doesn't twist properly at all, on the other it fits better, but with severe lateral twists. I would never order them if I knew how they would arrive unfolded and bent on one and waste money on the other because it wouldn't fit my old lamp. It's supposed to be a generic…

Doesn't make a good flame

It's made the same as my antique except: 1) it's brass plated 2) the "shoulders" fold over making it easier to place thin glass balls on it 3) The burner hole is not designed well enough to produce a nice flame like my antique. 4) It doesn't screw to the base perfectly, but that's acceptable to me. killer - point 3). My photos show that the flame hole isn't that big, and what you can't see is that the metal channel that holds the wick inside (which blocks how deep the flame can go) is about 2mm
