Dye gray hair without harsh chemicals!

This product is amazing, I really wish I had found it sooner! I learned about henna hair color by researching natural hair color. Like many people, I'm trying to eliminate some of the extra chemicals I'm putting into my body. I never liked the idea of soaking my hair and scalp in a chemical solution, and I definitely didn't like the smell or strawy feel of my hair after coloring it. I chose Medium Brown in Light Mountain Natural as my natural hair color is medium blonde. I was a little nervous…

Really covers my gray hair, no copper roots, nice brown

I've wanted to stay away from chemical hair color for years but was afraid it wouldn't cover my stubborn gray hairs or worse my roots would turn copper red. I was also concerned about the difficulty of applying henna and having to spend all day on my head. I finally found the courage (after researching and discovering Light Mountain Natural that covers gray hair) to just do it. I love it! The color is beautiful, the roots are fully covered (and my hair is almost 100% gray). It was a little…

Best natural hair color

When I didn't have gray hair I only dyed with henna and I loved the colour, the shine that I get from henna dye. During this pandemic I have avoided using chemical dyes (first photo). I heard about this dye from a relative who has been using this line of products for a while, so I decided to give it a try. So I bought this two-step color primarily to get rid of gray roots. I've watched a number of YouTube videos on how to use it as I've never heard of or used indigo powder before. Most of the…

Darker color washes out easily

I have used this product on my hair hoping to really hide gray roots. I have used the same color from this brand in the past but not in the Color the Gray line and while the color stays on most of my hair, the hair around my head turned gray again within a few weeks. So I have a problem with new hair turning gray and washing out the color from previously colored hair. With Color the Gray, in the first step, a mixture is used that dyes the hair light orange, and then, after washing out the…

Do not be afraid! It works!

After I was diagnosed with an allergy to hair dye, this was the only alternative. The reviews are creepy and I was afraid my hair would turn red, but it worked out fine and your hair really looks better than regular coloring. A strand test gives you a good opportunity to experiment. I did 1 test on the packaging as directed and one with coffee, but I actually liked the packaging better. You also have the opportunity to practice mixing. If you've dyed your hair at home before, it's very similar,

Regular Light Mountain vs. Color the Gray

I've been using Light Mountain Medium Brown (Regular) for years but I've noticed my grays are fading faster and faster. I was hesitant to try this one because it looked like it would be even more of a hassle than the one I was using. It's really just a tiny extra step, not an extra time. You make an additional mixture, apply it for 5-15 minutes (and has a different consistency than the paint, lays more evenly and washes off better), rinses off, only with water, then you apply the paint. You do…
