Need a smaller bookshelf that can hold a lot of books and this one is perfect. I'm an older woman and had no trouble putting it together. Very happy with this purchase.

Cute little bookshelf. The perfect look for what I wanted and it was very easy to put together. I didn't need 30 minutes. However, the shelf dimensions shown in the product photos are not correct. It says 14.2 inches, but it's under 13 inches. The 14.2" unit must contain both shelves on each side, so the bottom of one shelf must be on top of the other shelf. We have two sets of these shelves on either side of my teenage daughter's bedroom windows. the three of us got them both together in under an hour; However, we used an electric screwdriver instead of the small one that came with it, which sure saved us a ton of time. The instructions are oversimplified to 6 or 7 little diagrams which confused me a little at first, but once you get the hang of it it's pretty easy to do. Overall this is a good bookshelf that currently holds about 75 heavy books for me. Assembly is easy and should take about an hour, although the shelves were a little fiddly to install and the instructions were mediocre (though easily circumvented). The frame felt a little wobbly when empty, but now with more weight it stands easily. The crossbars are well positioned and prevent books from falling off the shelves. This is a great, sturdy shelving unit that will fit in any space you need! I got this to refresh my pantry. When I moved into my house, my pantry had shelving built in, but this was done in a part of the house that couldn't have shelving built in at all. Walls cannot support shelves as pantry shelves have to support heavier loads. Pretty good set of shelves. The instructions aren't very good, and some of my parts were mislabeled (both the top and bottom posts were labeled as below), but it's not hard to figure out. The kit comes with all the necessary tools (wrench, allen key and Phillips screwdriver) but there are MANY long screws (20) to insert so assembly with an electric screwdriver is definitely a lot easier and quicker.
