Well done, but I won't buy any more.

As a cropped width, it is significantly better than a 12-24 zoom both in terms of design and quality of workmanship. However, after the release of 15mm Limited, I would certainly take a tag. Got pros: Magnificent constructive, as well as at all glasses of this series. Good detail, decent constant aperture, drawing. Very nice bokeh. Its cons: Distortion, what is there. Chromatite is also decent, but quietly removed in the converter. The original design of the lens hood, which does not allow…

Everything is fine, I liked the product, I bought it for a reason.

    1. This lens CAN be screwed with a filter along with a hood. Any (almost any) filter with a 43mm thread (not 49!) is screwed into the BLEND! 2. With a polarizer, such a trick will not work. 3. The lens, like the da15, is not for infinity - not landscape. Yes, you can make F16 and get something suitable, but this glass draws a foreground much more interesting than the 21st distance, sometimes it is very useful. For other cases, there is FA* 24.

    Pros
    • The size. The weight. Constructive. Quickshift.
    Cons
    • The impossibility of using a polarizer with a hood. Orientation to the foreground, not to infinity.

My impression of the purchase is good, buy it.

The choice of 20-mm fixes is small. As a rule, everything here is either very expensive and heavy (reference Zeiss 21mm), or expensive and no better (for example, I had to shoot with sigma 20 / 1,8 - for money it’s an analogue , and in general, the lens is not bad, but the image quality comparable to the lim is still only with f / 8 . 11, and is it worth carrying more than half a kilogram of unnecessary aperture?) Therefore, the 21st lim with its quality-price-weight ratio, piece can be said to

    Pros
    • 1. Good color reproduction (bright and accurate colors in any light and aperture) 2. Small ext. light scattering in the back (catches hares, not without it, but very small ones) 3. Good contrast and field resolution. 4. Very compact and lightweight, yet durable design.
    Cons
    • 1. Significant curvature of the field. 2. H. A. not to say that they are large (we have seen them many times more), but at the edges, along the borders with an extreme difference in brightness, the editor cannot be avoided.

A nice option for the money, one of the best deals.

Was purchased for work. Everything is ok there. I decided to try to shoot landscapes with them, like nothing. Not to say that it is less sharp than those that I usually use for landscapes (Samyang 10mm, Pentax 35mm). Then I took it for a night shoot and it's just a delight. The sharpness is somehow prohibitive even at f / 3.5, and if you clamp it down to 7, even your eyes can start to cut. Specifically, night shooting in the city - any luminous object already at f / 3.5 is overgrown with a…

    Pros
    • Sharpness (even open) Color rendering Size and weight Used price (from 9500 to 13000)
    Cons
    • - Blenda. This is some kind of joke from the Pentax company. Why couldn't it just be screwed onto the thread of the lens? Why was there an extra gesture with a special groove and a clip on the inner edge? Well, you put on a hood, and you change the lens, do not put on the cap until you pull off the hood. They would make a lid like a lensbaby to put on a hood. - Small HA on edges with very high contrast - Autofocus may overshoot the focus point. Happened a couple of times in a month - Price. The lens is very good, but the price of 55k for a new one, considering a newer version of the same lens for the same price, is strange.

High-quality product, the price corresponds to the quality.

I chose "wide" from Sigma 10-20mm, DA 15 Lim and DA 21 Lim. Sigma did not like the colors, the 15th lim is too wide for me, I chose the 21st - it is ideal for me (they say that the kenonists "saw" it into their "carcasses"). I am very satisfied with the purchase, it gets very sharp pictures, it draws "bricks" superbly. I was very pleased with the lens cover - trimmed with velvet.

    Pros
    • Color rendition, dimensions, weight, a wonderful picture.
    Cons
    • Filters: If you use a 49mm filter, then the lens hood (bayonet type) does not fit into place. To use both the lens hood and the filter, you need a 43mm filter, which is not very convenient, because. the rest of the lims (DA) have a 49mm filter. Does not "cover" the full frame. =)

cute lens on camera & photo

I am so pleased with the clarity, bokeh and sharpness of this lens that I will probably buy 4 more lenses. Super happy with this purchase.

My impression of the Pentax 21mm DA silver lens.

I've only taken about 10 photos so far but they have all been excellent except for two indoor shots which had too much backlight. The build quality is brilliant.

Razer Sharp goes well with camera lenses

I love the build quality of this lens and the sharpness from 5.6 to 11.0. Bought this lens for street and architecture photography and its focal length is perfect for that use. I didn't find any cons, maybe the price is a bit high, but actually the build quality and a possible limited version are normal.

    Pros
    • An absolute legend
    Cons
    • Ugly packaging

I would recommend this lens to all Pentax DSLR users

= Only one shot with this lens. Sharpness=10, Bokeh=8, CA=9, Handling=10, Value=10. I would recommend this lens to all Pentax DSLR users. It seems to be the base of my lens set. A range of excellent quality Pentax Limited lenses. I look forward to many more good shots with this lens.

If you don't want to spend money on a Leica, get this one.

I've heard this lens called the best landscape lens in the world. i can believe it It's sharp, borderless, with great color and contrast. It pairs perfectly with an APS-C sensor DSLR and is on my K 01 most of the time. It's all metal with a flocked aluminum overlay on the lens cap. Everything about him exudes "quality”. Bokeh is great compared to most, but relatively poor by Pentax standards. The photos are breathtakingly beautiful. I will probably never shoot with a zoom lens again, except on…

    Choosing between 21mm and 15mm

It's hard to decide between Pentax 21mm and Pentax 15mm. I ended up buying both. The reason for this is that they are different enough to serve two different (albeit sometimes overlapping) functions. The Pentax 21mm is good for photographing groups of people interacting with each other. Unlike the Pentax 15mm, it doesn't have wide-angle distortion that makes people look weird (e.g. fisheye). On the other hand, at 21mm (equivalent to 32mm in the 135mm film world) it's not a very wide angle. The…

    Much better than expected

I was concerned about f/3.2 as there are other options and I even have a Tamron 17-50 f/2.8 which is faster for the same focal length but I wasn't upset. The lens is small, light, fairly sharp wide open and very well built, but three things make it stand out: a) Color - it has really great colors, very warm and saturated. Makes you love Pentax and the new coating helps with the highlights, love it. b) Bokeh - it was totally unexpected. This is a wide angle lens, it's not very bright, what does…
