2X Normally X-Large. I'm glad I bought the 2X, they seem a little small, they just fit. Haven't used it yet so I'll take a look at the strength and heat resistance. Will be updated if problems arise
I bought them hoping they would improve my workers dexterity while protecting them from the heat of parts and welding sparks, but they broke within 2 days.
They are great haha my hands get cold in them which is great for welding. I've been using them for 2 weeks now and they look and feel like new just a little dirty from working with the metal, very durable.
They are much better than the unnamed general purpose gloves I started out with. Better fit, better protection, better feel, the list goes on. Watch them for a bit, the price is bouncing up and down a solid $10. Highly recommended.
I wear 1x in most gloves, mechanic's gloves or whatever. My dad wears 2x so I bought 2x for him. Turns out I bought a cozy 1x that said 2x. So keep them small. Additionally, these are welding gloves of the quality you expect.
These gloves are comfortable and good looking but I wouldn't say they are flashy and really heat resistant. I go to class and the first day I put them on I burned myself trying to clean the nozzle on my gun. I am right handed and because they are so comfortable I wear one of these on my right hand for welding and a heavier glove provided by the school on my left.
We bought this item for our grandson who is studying to be a professional welder in high school. He reports that these gloves (along with the sleeves we ordered for them) work really well and feel better (and lighter) on his hands than the ones they get at school. The sleeves allow his shirt sleeves to roll up, but he's fine with that and we're glad to have some extra protection for him.
I followed the sizing guide and chose a large size. When trying it on, the fingers were too short. It was like trying to put on a latex glove that was too small - it was impossible to spread your fingers, the tension on the palm and thumb was limited. The structures looked decent but were unusable. I replaced them with size XL Lincoln Premium TIG gloves which fit perfectly. I don't think I have particularly long fingers so I think I'll go up a size if you don't have short fingers.
