NINE VOLTS ARE IMPORTANT! ! !

This is not just a "compatible" Linear 3089 opener; In fact, it is PLACED like a real Linear 3089 opener (see image). And the best part. it uses a 9 volt battery; not some low current low battery (see picture). Both the battery compartment and the DIP switches are accessible from the front through an easy-open latch door (see image). Installing a visor clip is optional.

Better range than before, easy setup.

Replaced our gate remotes with this very easy 10 pin installation. (Putting a coin in the little slot and spinning it seemed to work pretty well.) It has pretty decent range and MUCH better performance (more range, more reliability) than what we had before. The range is about 20-30 meters if I have to guess. Literally just open this one, open your old one and set the pins on your new one to match. Each pin is set to either 0 or 1, make sure you flip the switch all the way up or down when…

  • Nice to use

  • Definitely a bad product

Some difficulty changing battery

The remote works fine and has replaced my old unit BUT I have to ask a neighbor to open the compartment to make contacts and whenever the battery needs to be changed. Their desire to keep it small and compact resulted in this tiny battery case. I cannot remove or install the compartment cover. The battery just fits in there after a lot of pushing and fiddling. It needs a little more space to accommodate the battery without much hassle. I spent over 30 minutes trying to get the lid back before I

Ok Transmitter - Building Materials

When I bought my new home the garage door opener came with a pair of transmitters. Both had cracked cases so I decided to look for a new transmitter. I found this to be a "direct replacement" for my transmitter so I bought it. When it arrived I set the dip switches to the code on the opener. It worked but only 5ft from the opener making it useless as I couldn't even open the door from anywhere outside the garage. I took it to the office and measured both with a spectrum analyzer. It was set to…

Would definitely buy again

I've read a few reviews complaining about the range of the remote control, but no problems. So I'm wondering if these people were trying to open their garage from the hot tub upstairs at the other end of their mansion? I live in an apartment building in a very densely populated part of Los Angeles and have to drive down a narrow alley with garage doors to get to my seat. With all this around, I can use the remote at the start of my lane, about 60-70 feet from the garage. I wanted an easy…

But it works.

First make sure it is 100% compatible with the garage door opener receiver, operates at 300MHz and only has 10 DIP switches. I did some research on my very old 455 automatic porter that I couldn't even find a manual for online. I'm pretty sure the garage door opener dates back to 1986 when my apartment was built. Anyway, I saw where someone else posted in a question for the same opener and the answer was yes, it's compatible. Well I was skeptical and figured if that didn't work I would just…
