Review on 🔑 Visor Remote Opener - Linear 3089 Multicode 3089 Compatible by Sonny Nevers

When I bought my new home the garage door opener came with a pair of transmitters. Both had cracked cases so I decided to look for a new transmitter. I found this to be a "direct replacement" for my transmitter so I bought it. When it arrived I set the dip switches to the code on the opener. It worked but only 5ft from the opener making it useless as I couldn't even open the door from anywhere outside the garage. I took it to the office and measured both with a spectrum analyzer. It was set to 300MHz and my old 310MHz transmitter opened close to the gate because the bandwidth filter in the gate was too wide. There is a variable inductor that you can adjust so you can increase the frequency by a few tens of MHz. That being said, performance is pretty good for opening a garage door half a block away. I've added a picture of the inside with an inductor that you should adjust if your frequency is a bit off.
