Allows you to control A/V component by the existing IR controller, such as amplifier, cable box, HD DVR, stereo receiver, Satellite TV receiver, CD player, DVD player, Bluray player or other components which are controlled by IR signal. Passes IR communication: Used with an IR Repeater kit to control a device; Extend remote control ability to any room in the house. Sticks directly onto the AV equipment; Two emitters on a single plug,Adhesive backing allows the emitter to be attached to the IR eye of a device. Dual Heads allow you to control multiple pieces of equipment with only one IR output, For use with Connecting Blocks and Home Automation controllers. The mini stick-on emitter includes a 10 ft cable between the emitter heads and the mini-plug.

Not worth the price

This extender cable disappointed me .While it did extend the range of my infrared remote, it had frequent connectivity issues and didn't even work consistently with all of my electronics. The price is too high for such a poorly functioning product..

Seems to split and attenuate signal

I bought 2 of these, one was probably a return, it was in an open plastic bag and 3 seals were missing. The other was in an unopened new bag and had three sticky sheets. I think this splitter should really really attenuate the strength of the signal it splits. This extension turns on my Integra receiver and adjusts the volume fairly well (when the remote's batteries run out, for example), but it doesn't affect my Apple TV or Sony Blu-ray player. It has absolutely no effect on them. Not worth…
