This item was torture to assemble on my own. I used a drill press but I had a few extra screws, some weren't even long enough to use. I shook it vigorously, it held, so I called it good. I should have read the reviews before ordering but this seems hit or miss. My experience was definitely a failure. The first one sent had a tear at the top so I boxed it up and sent it back. Good wood and finish. And I like the design. There were poor instructions, but assembly seemed intuitive. I liked how they packaged the parts so you don't lose them and they give you extras on top of that. But the included screws are flimsy and not up to the task.
